A Food Mingle Blog post has been published online!
I am so excited to share with you that my post titled, Back to School – Food Safety and Sanitation Class was published in the daily, online newsletter titled, BCFPA Daily Digest, which specializes in news about food safety. The BCFPA acronym stands for the British Columbia Food Protection Association, which is an affiliate of the International Association for Food Protection (IAFP).
Lance Hill (@BCFoodPA) of BCFPA Daily Digest found Food Mingle Blog via Twitter (@FoodMingleBlog), when I recently tweeted my back-to-school post. He then tweeted about the inclusion of my blog post in their January 2, 2015 online newsletter, which you can find here.
Here is Lance Hill’s tweet, announcing the Jan 2 edition of the BCFPA Daily Digest, which includes my back-to-school story about preparing to attend a ‘Food Safety and Sanitation’ class:

Who or what is BCFPA? I did a little bit of research and found them on LindedIn. According to their LinkedIn group page:
“BCFPA is an association with a diverse membership from industry, government, academia, equipment manufacturers and other allied supplier and service companies. Our members are engaged in quality control, food production and processing, regulatory and private contract inspections, consulting, risk assessment, research and development, microbiological research, manufacturing plant management and operations, technical services and HACCP. Our mission is to provide a forum to exchange information on protecting the food supply.”

My thanks to Lance Hill and the BCFPA Daily Digest for choosing my Food Mingle Blog post to be included in their Jan 2, 2015 daily digest.
I start the Food Safety and Sanitation class in a few weeks, so stop back often for updates on my progress throughout the semester.
